  Muffin Battles

For the last few days I’ve been playing World of warcraft online with a friend and it’s a very fun game. It’s much better when playing with another person and using a voice chat program which we’ve been doing.

Anyways, I’m going to go play for a bit more but I wrote this short story called Muffin Battles for a college writing contest and it didn’t win but they published the story in a book called Bravura. You can read the short story online at their website. Here’s a link to it.

  Ford Bold Moves

Tonight I saw an add for FordBoldMoves.com on AIM and so I went to the site to check out what it was. I was actually really surprised but Ford is doing a behind the scenes documentary that doesn’t put it in the best light but is trying to tell the story of how they’re attempting to get back into the automotive game. It’s them talking about their mistakes, showing the people that worked for them, the closed factories and what they’re hoping to do and the cameras are following the President of the company. How many companies the size of Ford would have a President willing to have a camera crew follow them around like that? I’m not sure many would. The first episode is about 4 minutes and is pretty good. I’m assuming the later ones will be better.

I’m somewhat disappointed that they don’t have an RSS feed so that I can be alerted when they post a view episode.

  Evil car mechanic level idea
Level idea: Evil Auto shop

There is a mechanic that owns an autoshop and in the level, he's trying to steal all your money by telling you stuff is broken on your car and you have to defeat him and make sure you get out of the autoshop spending as little money as possible.

Yeah, I just got back from taking my car to a mechanics. There are only two mechanics that I trust and this mechanic wasn't one of them. Something about him just seemed shady as well. I wasn't sure what it was but maybe it was the thick russian accent that made it difficult to understand a word he was saying but I didn't really have a choice. My car was having issues starting.

When I get there, they start looking at the car and the car no long has trouble starting. They ran some tests and determined the charger and battery were both fine so it's probably the starter but we're not sure. They said that on hot days it might have an issue starting as quickly and today is pretty hot so that's not suprising. Then they told me the engine mounts in my car were broken and that they'd need to be replaced. I'd never been aware of that and apparently the engine rocks too much whenever I switch gears but I'm aware of the rocking because I've been able to feel it for years in the car but I never knew it was a bad thing which then naturally makes me suspicious of the mechanic when he tells me it's a bad thing. How then does my car still run if this is really an issue? It's been like that for a while so I'm going to take the car into an auto shop that I trust and have expierence with.
